busy days.
itunes doesnt have Pretty Hate Machine, NIN. Ill have to d/l from my actual CD..if i can find it. they do have live versions of Terrible Lie and Sin though which are pretty cool, i like hearing the fans in the background.
dr. appts today. im wearing my glasses, even if i still feel traumatized. (i can SEE now, so thats a plus).
d/l Higher than the Stars, 103, and Stay Alive by The Pains of Being Pure At Heart.
I also was inspired to listen to The Cure's Disintegration Album the other day. Seriously, why do i obsess over finding new music when i have The Cure? I still have to argue that WISH is my favorite album, followed by BloodFlowers and Head on the Door,...oh yeah, and Boys Dont Cry...and WMS.

snow!
snowing like crazy.
so glad winter vacation is over, its been a good 3 weeks since ive sat down to the computer to write. again, no official new years resolution, but like last year, i'm going to stick with the goal of finishing the current writing project........its hovering around 330 pages. i've started a huge revision of it, and have 1 chapter done (of 12)! yikes. the main purpose it to make it more cohesive, to fix loose ends and streamline character development in the earlier chapters. the characters are very vivid after 12+ chapters, so its easy to go back and make them more "themselves" in the early portion of the book. its slow-going, but i am optimistic that it will make the whole story better. after i finish the revisions, hopefully i will be able to finish the whole thing, and the outlines i have for the last 3 chapters. book two is floating out there somewhere, not fully realized, but more like a collection of ideas with a general direction.
a few notes about music. lady gaga...so in the media spotlight right now, i actually like the song 'speechless', and one other one, but only b/c of the electronic influences and evidence of her being a dj before a pop queen.
owl city- its a love/hate thing for me,. the first time i heard him, i almost wanted to puke. like a pixy stick....someone of it is still too "sweet" for me to swallow. i do like Hello Seattle, the remix, and of course the frequent and relentless radio-play annoys me to no end!
30stm- gotta say i do like select songs from the cd. probably the ones that got the worst reviews.
like Vox Populi, and Alibi.
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart= great smiths/morrissey-esque songs. they get flack for imitating, but i must say i enjoy their self-titled....
so...thats it, other than having palpitations that are starting to freak me out.
OH! forgot, im following the whole AFIHQ's mystery.....its so freakin intricate, im really wondering how they are ever going to tie up all the loose ends.
